Prior to working in addiction treatment, Josh worked with at-risk youths in Downtown Los Angeles and as a therapist at a community mental health program in West Hollywood. He has also worked as a consultant in developing a mobile application for individuals recovering from addiction.
Josh earned a Master’s in Social Work from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social behavior from the University of California, Irvine, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He is currently practicing as a registered BBS Associate Clinical Social Worker
Josh’s training includes a focus on Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral approaches. Josh focuses on empowering his clients to develop adaptive coping skills, build self-insight, improve relationships and achieve long-term recovery. When he is not working, Josh enjoys rock climbing, hiking, traveling and spending time with family.
