Matthew is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 4 years of experience working with clients struggling with addiction. He came into the field of treatment with clinical training as a Marriage and Family Therapist intern. As an MFT-Intern he led Proposition 36 substance abuse classes and worked with court ordered youth from the Juvenile Drug Court of Orange County treatment programs. While clinical work as a therapist brought him into substance abuse treatment, he currently utilizes his unique skill set in the role of Program Manager for Women’s Core.

He is in the process of completing a Psy.D in Marriage and Family Therapy at the California School of Professional Psychology. Matthew possesses a wide range of work experience: advertising executive, headhunter, and teacher are all job descriptions included on his resume. He has also held many positions of leadership and guidance for organizations he found inspirational. Past roles include Trustee for Alliant International University and Advisory Board Member for The Future Leader’s Institute. He has a curious mind and is usually engaged in some sort of outdoor activity. He has a teaching certification for skiing and snowboarding. He also enjoys woodworking, anything to do with cars, fine arts, and family. Currently, home is in Long Beach with wife Caroline and Piglet, a canine rescued from the streets of Los Angeles.
