The Empire Plan or a NYSHIP HMO Plan

Regardless of whether you choose The Empire Plan or a NYSHIP HMO, your insurance coverage provides you and your eligible dependents with all of the following medical services:

Hospitalization and coverage for hospitalization related expenses
Medical and surgical care coverage
Mental health and substance abuse treatment programs
Prescription drug coverage

HMOs approved for participation in NYSHIP are not available in all geographic areas so keep in mind that enrollment in a NYSHIP HMO requires that you must live or work in that HMO’s NYSHIP approved service
area. Once you can’t meet the requirement of living or working in that NYSHIP HMO’s service area anymore, you will need to change options. On top of this, benefits provided by The Empire Plan and the HMOs differ. Either option that best meets your needs, will have coverage you can use at our treatment facility. You and your dependents will have the same option.

The Opt-out Program

The one exception would be if you’ve taken the Opt-out Program which offers incentive payments to eligible New York State employees who opt-out of NYSHIP health benefits. The program is available to eligible employees who already have other employer-sponsored health insurance. This would change the equation and you’d need to check where you have coverage and what type of coverage you have before we can move forward with your enrollment.

They are available in all 50 states, has 34,000 employees, over 470,000 doctors, and its self-stated goal is to create a better health-care system which is simple for patients, and transparent in motives.

Anthem

Anthem is a part of Blue Cross Blue Shield, and it provides insurance coverage to tons of people. It remains one of the largest profit-oriented insurance agencies in the country, servicing over 70 million people worldwide, 38 million people in the United States, and covering all 50 states.

Beacon Health Options

Beacon has helped over 40 million people across all 50 states for 30 years. They are among the best providers of health insurance for behavioral health.

Blue Cross Blue Shield

In many instances, Blue Cross Blue Shield drug rehab and alcoholism coverage includes multiple options for treatment programs. Most likely, your BCBS alcohol rehab and substance abuse treatment coverage will cover at least some of the medical costs of residential addiction treatment, outpatient treatment, partial hospitalization, and continuing care programs.

Cigna

Cigna is a global health organization, and their coverage helps almost 90 million people! Their mission is to provide affordable care for people’s basic needs, this also includes substance abuse treatment. While Cigna has multiple different kinds of plans one can be on, their services may consist of the following.

ComPsych

ComPsych is the world’s largest provider of employee assistance programs. They are a massive insurance organization, and provide aid to over 50,000 organization, and over 100 million individuals.

EHN

Employers Health Network (EHN) provides high-quality, customizable health insurance and pharmacy benefits for employers to offer their employees and their dependents. Among many other healthcare services, EHN insurance includes benefits for drug and alcohol treatment.

First Health Insurance Coverage

First Health Network covers residential and outpatient rehab for drug and alcohol addiction. The insurance company has in-network providers in all 50 states, as well as Puerto Rico.

Health Net

Health Net is an insurance group that covers 5.9 million people across all 50 states through health maintenance organization (HMO), preferred provider organization (PPO), and point of service (POS) insurance benefits plans.

Humana

Humana is comprised of many diverse and dedicated workers. It is one of the most technologically advanced companies, and will at the very least partially cover substance abuse and mental health treatment.

MHN

Also known as the Mental Health Network, MHNet is a health insurance provider that has been designed specifically for individuals who are seeking treatment for their substance abuse disorders. By paying an annual fee for their services, MHNet is able to help cover the partial or entire cost of policyholders’ treatments and therapies depending on which plan they have.

MultiPlan

MultiPlan is a PPO (preferred provider organization), meaning policyholders can get care from any in-network providers without a referral from their primary care doctor. MultiPlan covers residential and outpatient drug and alcohol treatment, and Northbound is a preferred provider.

Tricare

TRICARE, formerly called the Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Uniformed Services, is the healthcare program for uniformed military service members and their families, including retired members of the US Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, the Commission Core, the US Public Health Service, and the Commission Core of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association.

USAMCO

USA MCO or Managed Care Organization is the largest privately held preferred provider organization offering untraditional health benefits and resources. A Preferred Provider Organization is an organization that does not sell insurance to the consumer but rather to other insurance providers.
